This is the website of the 2nd Essex B.E.F Reenactment group.

The group was founded by a number of friends that had previous reenactment experience.

Whilst the group has a great time learning the 1935/39 Drill Regs, Bayonet Drill and other necessary information - we hope
to be able to raise funds for the Royal British Legion (with their consent) and if possible, to also raise funds for 'Help for Heroes' and the Army Benevolent Fund.

Typically, our group will attempt to create a Rifle Section from a Platoon of the 2nd Essex Regiment of 1939/40. As we hope
to recruit new members, we would sincerely like to create a second section.

Our group will also have an ATS section 1939/40 The First Aid Nursing Yeomanry.

We would also like to be able to portray a Rifle Section serving on 'The Home Front' from 1940/41, this would also include both ATS and civilian roles. We are a family group and would enjoy having both new single or family members joining us.
